What people are saying:
"Therapeutic, moving verse from a promising new talent." Kirkus Reviews
"Once Upon a Girl sends a powerful reminder that there is hope in the midst of hopelessness." Feathered Quill Book Reviews

A word from the author:

Once Upon a Girl is a collection of poetry and prose about reinventing myself when the life I thought I wanted ultimately fell apart. It's about realizing that I could put the broken pieces of myself back together any way I wanted. And if I can do that, so can anyone else. Writing has always been a safe haven for me. It’s a way to make sense of the things that happen to me at my own pace…I can unpack them, revisit them, imagine alternate outcomes, and ultimately, accept and learn from experiences. I wrote Once Upon a Girl to process life experiences and to show others that there is always hope. As a woman, I spent so much of my life feeling like I was never "enough," especially in relationships. It's taken a long time to change how I view myself and how I define my value, and it's definitely an on-going process. But once you decide to be who you are, rather than who you think you're supposed to be, amazing things can begin to happen.
